Week 7 seemed to last forever, but finally I'm here in Week 8 and well, it's much of the same: I live for bedtime, I can't stop eating even though I feel nauseous most of the time and I can hardly string a sentence together when it comes to making conversation. My brain is in a tangle and I'm really struggling to get through the day at work. Thank god for annual leave - I'd already booked the next two weeks off prior to this happening and the timing couldn't be better.

I've got a little secret
Time to own up, yes I’m pregnant, 7 weeks pregnant or
thereabouts. I’m not as terrified as I was when I was pregnant with Taters, but
I’m not quite as relaxed about it as I was when I initially found out. For a
good week or so I had an almost zen like calm and was bursting with love
towards this tiny bundle of cells multiplying within me – then the nausea
kicked in and I suppose the hormones went to work on my calm state of mind, and
since then, alongside sick and tired, I just feel damn right weird; emotionally
closed off and like I’m on another planet. I seem to have almost forgotten
there is a baby (hopefully) growing inside me at the root of all this.
